The Ministry of Food and Agriculture (MoFA) has secured a corporate sponsorship valued at GH¢1,068,455 from 3TREES Ghana Painting Ltd to undertake the complete exterior painting and renovation of the Ministry’s national headquarters under the Brighten Ghana Initiative.
The sponsorship, which will be delivered at no cost to the Government of Ghana, forms part of the company’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programme aimed at supporting national development and institutional renewal.
Speaking at the presentation ceremony, the Minister for Food and Agriculture reaffirmed the government’s commitment to transforming the agricultural sector through President John Dramani Mahama’s Agriculture for Economic Transformation Agenda, describing agriculture as the backbone of Ghana’s economy.
He noted that the agenda seeks to improve livelihoods, create decent employment opportunities and strengthen food security across the country.
The Minister also used the occasion to rally support for the 42nd National Farmers’ Day, scheduled for Friday, December 4, 2026, describing the annual celebration as an opportunity to recognize and reward the contributions of Ghanaian farmers.
He called on individuals, corporate organisations and development partners to contribute towards the event, stressing that investing in Farmers’ Day is an investment in the country’s food security and agricultural productivity.
Expressing appreciation to 3TREES Ghana Painting Ltd, the Minister described the company as one of the first major private sector partners to support the Brighten Ghana Initiative.
Under the sponsorship package, the company will fully finance the exterior renovation of the Ministry’s headquarters, covering the cost of painting materials, labour, equipment, scaffolding and all related works.
According to the Minister, the Brighten Ghana Initiative is a national campaign designed to rehabilitate ageing public infrastructure, improve the appearance of government institutions and enhance service delivery through stronger collaboration between the public and private sectors.
He noted that renovating the Ministry’s headquarters carries symbolic significance because it serves as the administrative home of Ghana’s farming community.
The Minister further encouraged other corporate institutions to emulate the example set by 3TREES Ghana Painting Ltd by investing in public infrastructure and supporting national development initiatives.
He also acknowledged the participation of UMB Bank in the initiative, emphasizing that sustainable development depends on strong partnerships between government and the private sector.
The Ministry reaffirmed its commitment to working closely with 3TREES Ghana Painting Ltd, UMB Bank and other strategic partners to advance agricultural transformation, institutional renewal and national development.
The ceremony ended with renewed appeals for nationwide support for the 42nd National Farmers’ Day celebrations and greater participation in the Brighten Ghana Initiative to help build a cleaner, more vibrant and prosperous Ghana.
